Synopsis:
The Romeo Club is Hitch meets The Secret of My Success

What happens we you agree to help your brother "de-nerdify" so he can catch the attention of the popular Chloe Anders, and to everyone's surpriss, he actually lands her?

And What if his equally geeky friends come running with girl wish lists of their own, offering money for your service?

Well, if you're sixteen-year-old, Delyla Denson, then you start The Romeo Club. A secret club where she'll teach these guys how to talk, to act, and to be cool around girls. It's a win-win situation.

She'll get enough money for the awesome prom dress she's had her eye on, and the guys, well, they'll get dates and maybe learn how to do something other than beat the next level on their video games.

There are only two problems with this plan. One, her quarterback/track star boyfriend is getting jealous of how much time she's spending away from him and decides to try and figure out what's going on. And two, Delyla is kind of falling for her brother's BFF, Trey who she's been hanging out with a lot more. And who thanks to her help, has caught the attention of the beautiful, perfect, and popular, Portia Rickard. With Portia and Trey heating up, Delyla realizes that maybe the person she's meant to be with has been in front of her all this time.

But falling for Trey means she'll have to take drastic measures including sabotage, with a capital S.

One of Rebekah L. Purdy's Most Embarrassing Moments EVER!
Picture this: Warm summer day, sun beating down, the scent of chlorine wafting in the air. A waterpark filled with tons of awesome waterslides, pools, and a lazy river. And don’t get me started on the lifeguards (two words-SMOKING HOT).  This day was the kind of day you just knew would be perfect. Or at least it was supposed to be (insert menacing music here).

So my cousin and I were best friends growing up and this particular summer my aunt decided to bring us to a waterpark. This was actually the first time I’d been to one. So of course I was kind of awestruck. We walked around for a while, checking things out (and people out—LOL), trying to decide what we wanted to do first.

There was this really tall slide that looked kind of cool. Of course, I was nervous because I hated heights. But, my cousin wanted to go on it pretty bad. So we waited in line. When we got to the top, I swear I thought I might pee my pants (or rather bathing suit). But, I couldn’t exactly back out now, we were at the front of the line and I didn’t want to have to do a walk-of-shame all the way back down the stairs.

My cousin went first, and I heard her screaming the whole way down. This of course did nothing for my nerves. I felt the sweat bead up on my forehead. The lifeguard at the top of the slide asked if I was ready. Inside I was saying, “Hell no, I’m not ready.” But for some reason, I smiled, gave a nod, and plopped my bikini clad butt down.

I sat in position and he told me to go ahead and go. With a scream, I held my hands over my chest and sped down the water slide. I left my stomach somewhere back up at the platform. When I got to the bottom, I hit the pool with a splash.

You know that fast flowing water at the bottom of the slide? For whatever reason, I couldn’t surface. It was like I was stuck beneath the rushing, foaming waters. I panicked. I knew how to swim, I’d been doing it for years.  Fear prickled through me as I fought to get above water.

Next thing I know, there are strong arms wrapping around my mid-section and dragging me up.  At last, I burst to the surface with the aid of a very hot lifeguard. The first thing he says to me? “Hey, just stand up, the water is only about 4 foot deep.

Say what? So I lowered my feet and stood, the water only came up to my chest. My face burned as I stared at him. He gave me a goofy grin and said, “You’re the first person I had to save all summer.”

He helped me to the edge of the pool, where I climbed out, mortified beyond belief. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the day avoiding the waterslides. To this day, I still haven’t lived that moment down. But hey, I got rescued by a lifeguard, right?
