Genre:

Publish Date:
May 15, 2019
Publisher:

Synopsis:
You’re invited to a sunny beach town for a witty, heartwarming romance.

When Brody broke up with Paige and went to Europe, he suggested that someday, they’d pick up right where they left off. A hopeless romantic, she believed him.

But when they meet again, Brody’s dating a gorgeous actress.

They’re all going to attend the same wedding, and Paige plans to win Brody back. She even enlists her best friend’s brother, Aiden, to pretend to date her and make her ex jealous. A breezy, charming restaurant owner, Aiden actually avoids serious relationships, but as a fake boyfriend, he’s perfect.

As old friends and exes take part in wedding preparations and enjoy the beauty of the Florida coast, they begin to see themselves—and each other—in a new light.

This summer romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for BBQ Brisket Tacos with Sunshine Slaw.

*Excerpt*
“They’re protecting something.” Paige’s expression turned more serious and she looked out to study the rest of the dolphin pod. “Do you have a baby with you?”
Aiden scanned the group as well. What he’d thought was a pod of six had now grown, and he counted at least ten. And that’s when he saw it. It was so precious it could have softened the hardest heart. “Yep. A tiny one, right there next to its mom.”
The tiny dolphin stayed just below the surface. He was hard to spot because he hovered close to the front flipper of the larger dolphin Aiden assumed was his mother.
Both of Paige’s hands went to her heart and she made a muffled cooing sound. “Oh, Aiden, have you ever seen anything so adorable in your whole life?”
As if the mother had heard her, she swam a little closer, showing off the calf. The baby couldn’t have been more than three feet long and had a sort of clumsy newness about him. Aiden wouldn’t have been surprised if he was only a few days old.
“What a treat,” Paige whispered. The mistiness in her eyes glistened and joy glowed around her. Aiden agreed. This moment was a treat. And what was even more surprising was the realization that there wasn’t anyone else he would’ve wanted to share it with.
They sat there like that for at least ten minutes with the waves gently rocking them, encompassed in a bubble of wonder, escorted by a pair of large dolphins while they watched the rest of the pod play in the water next to them.
Finally, Paige turned her attention to their escorts. “What a precious little baby. Thank you for sharing him with us.”
The one in front popped up, smiling right at them as if to acknowledge the compliment, and then both escorts joined the others and the whole pod disappeared into the darker waters.
She reached back and covered his hand with hers. The warmth of her touch flowed through him, which caught him off guard. He stared at her hand in amazement for a moment before looking up at her. The peaceful expression on her face washed over him, too.
“Dolphins are my favorite animal, and I’ve never been this close to them in the wild. Weren’t they spectacular?”
Aiden shrugged and tried to look humble. “I arranged for them to be here as a thank you for helping me.”
She playfully pushed his hand away and turned her full attention back to where the dolphins had been, breathing out a contented sigh. “It doesn’t get much better than this, does it?”

          No. No it didn’t.

**About the Author**
Rachel Magee wrote her first novel when she was twelve and entered it into a contest for young author/illustrators. Unfortunately, the judges weren't impressed with her stick figures, so she dropped the dream of becoming a world-famous illustrator and stuck to spinning stories. When she's not busy working on her latest book, she loves to travel with her family and friends. By far, her favorite destination is the beach, which tends to work its way into most of her stories. Between vacations, you can find her at home in The Woodlands, TX with her wonderful husband, their two adventurous kids and a couple of spirited pets.

Little known fact: Because of the hurricane-force winds that blow directly across the top of Mount Everest, there are only a handful of days in the year it can be summited. These breaks in the wind typically happen in the month of May. As in right now.

Today we are celebrating by sharing Megan Westfield’s new release—a new-adult romance set on Mount Everest. Hurry and grab it because it’s temporarily on sale for $0.99!

Genre:
New Adult
Contemporary Romance
Publish Date:
February 19, 2018
Publisher:
Entangled Publishing, LLC

Synopsis:
Twenty-year-old Emily Winslowe has had an adventurous upbringing. Daughter of a Himalayan mountain guide, she has climbed Mount Everest and other peaks most Americans only dream of. But for all her mountaineering prowess, she's lacking some key experiences. Namely, guys. Especially one guy in particular—Luke Norgay, her childhood best friend who she hasn't seen since he left for college in the United States two years ago.

Luke unexpectedly reappears as a guide just in time for the Everest climbing season. He's even more handsome than she remembers, and that something that had been building between them during their last season together is back in front of them, bigger than ever.

The problem is, there's a detail about Emily's past that Luke doesn't know. It's the reason she ended up in the Himalayas in the first place...and the reason she must make it to the summit of Mount Everest this year. It's also the reason she would never consider following him back to Washington after the climbing season ends.

But first, they'll have to survive the mountain.

*Excerpt*
I flicked the match, carefully lowering it onto the knots of the bracelet, holding my breath so I wouldn’t accidentally push the flame onto his skin. The purple cord grew wet in the yellow flame, and then I pulled the match back and extinguished it with a single puff.
After I was done, his arm lingered on my knee. I dared not move as we watched the thread of smoke at the end of the match twist leisurely toward the ceiling, unaffected by the winds raging outside the tent.
It hit me stronger than it ever had before that he was leaving. I longed to tell him how much I was going to miss him. To throw our entire friendship away on the chance that the quick pulse in his wrist had been a sign that he felt the same as me.
He lifted his arm, looking down at his wrist as he pulled his sleeve back into place.
Pound Rescue?” he asked. It was my favorite reality show.
“We finished all of them.”
“Walkabout Media’s surfing show?”
“Okay,” I said, setting up the portable DVD player one of last season’s clients had passed along to me when he went home.
For once, it was warm enough to lie on top of my sleeping bag rather than under it, and that’s what we did. This time, though, he twisted into me slightly as I lay next to him. As the show began to play, I put the right-side earbud in and handed him the left. He’d already snagged my pillow, so I rested my chin on my folded arms. Our hands were so close that I hardly noticed when he started twisting my new bracelet around my wrist.
And then I did.
The air turned explosive. Even though I had no idea how he felt about me or what it would mean, it was like I knew with absolute certainty that something was about to happen. We moved closer, one imperceptibly slow movement flowing into another as the endless aqua ocean waves rolled across the screen.
Now we were both on our sides, his chest tight against my back, his hand still holding my wrist around the bracelet. My eyes were closed with the sensations of it all: the heat of his body, the woodsy smell of his deodorant, and his heartbeat against my ribs.
That’s why it took me a few seconds to notice the tent was no longer being pushed by the wind but shaking like a dog after a swim.
What was going on?
The foghorn-low rumble grew into a roar all around us.
With terror, I realized what it was.
Earthquake.
Rocks were shifting and crunching. People were shouting in panic. There could be climbers in the icefall being buried right now. Where was Dad? Where were our Sherpas?
Luke and I threw on our boots and scrambled to get out of the tent.
Then, the unmistakable blast of an avalanche rattled our eardrums. The entire west face of Lingtren Peak had let loose, and in an instant, there was a monstrously large, roiling cloud of snow and debris careening straight toward Base Camp.

Genre:
New Adult
Contemporary Romance
Series:
Seeking Serenity, #4
Publish Date:
March 29, 2016

Trigger Warnings:
Real Damn Life

Synopsis:
It began with a look.

Just one, thrown my way. A mad, dizzying rush of desire cracking across the patio, bouncing around my friends, ignoring everything but the heat bubbling between his eyes and mine.

That's when Quinn O'Malley came into my life.

We were inevitable.

We were senseless.

He wrecked me.

He saved me.

I still haven't recovered.

Sayo McIntyre didn't want the complications that came with Quinn O'Malley.

But life doesn't care what we want. It gives us what we need.

*Excerpt*
“Sayo.”
It isn’t a question. It’s not a demand. Somewhere in the middle, something in his tone, there is truth. It reaches across the room, keeps me rooted in place. He’d warned me before, admitted he’d take and give and would offer no apologies. But in this tone of his is something that sounds an awful lot like need, a lot like possession.
I should walk away. No looks back. No second thoughts. Just leave him, leave this warehouse and forget that he ever touched me.
“Sayo,” he says again and this time that voice is closer. He’d moved like a whisper across the room and I hadn’t noticed.
Two steps more and Quinn is behind me. Three more and he rushes forward, forcing me to the wall, bracing myself with my palms flat. “Quinn…”
“No,” he says, leaning against me so I can’t move. “No, love, you stay still and answer a question for me.”
“Back off.”
He does, only to slip his hand to my chest, to slide his fingers under my bra and cup my breasts. “You’re so hot and cold with me, I never know who you’ll be when you come to me.”
Moving my head, I catch Quinn’s gaze over my shoulder. “You never give yourself to me, O’Malley. Never.”
He shifts, withdraws his hands to twist me around by the hips, not leaving much room between us, still holding me to the wall. “You might not like what you see in the real me. I don’t much like him myself…”
If I thought he’d continue his awkward interrogation, I was wrong. His grip lessens, his body relaxing into mine and suddenly he moves his forehead against mine, breath hot over my face, smelling of warm beer.
“You want him? The blonde? You want to be rid of me, Sayo?”
“Quinn…” I try, wishing he didn’t smell quite so good. Wishing that I didn’t remember how much I love the way his arms wrap around me, how the stubble from his face tickles my chest when he rubs it there. I wish I knew how to walk away, to take what had happened between us for the lesson it was.
I wish I didn’t want him so badly.
“Quinn…” I try again but he stands too close, feels too close and then our defenses weaken, they crumble and his mouth is on mine, his hands, mine, are everywhere, insisting, skilled, aching.
Bodies molding together.
Skin to skin, no room for regret.
There is only this sensation. This man. This moment.
Quinn touches me, takes me to floor, barely shoving my jeans off, hardly moving his pants down his hips before he hovers over me, sliding his hard dick against me.
“You don’t want this anymore?” he asks, his breath shaking, his hands sure as he guides himself over my pussy. “Can you walk away from this, love?” He slips inside me in one fluid thrust and I gasp, gripping hold of his shoulders as he kisses up my neck. “Because I damn well can’t.”
Words flit into my mind, defenses that are likely logical, seem reasonable, but I don’t speak them. Not with how well Quinn touches me, how he treats my body like a playground he’s only just discovered.
He is deep inside me, and I’m not sure how to be rid of him. I’m not sure I want to be. But Quinn is a man of few promises. As much as I crave this, he is a wild card I’m not sure I want to play.
