Synopsis:
Dr. Gail Phillips steps onto the shores of Loch Ness to disprove the Loch Ness monster theory for good so everyone can stop wasting their time. As a marine biologist with a background in archeology, she’s convinced all of the world’s myths such as Big Foot, the Tasmanian devil, and even Nessie are lies. Her father disappeared while following Yettie tracks in the Alps, and she doesn’t want to lose another mislead soul.

Flynn Maloney comes from a family of fanatic cryptozoologists. As a native of Scotland, he believes in Nessie as strong as Gail believes in science. Despite his initial attraction for her, he’s joined her research team to prove her wrong. He wants to find Nessie for a special girl in his life, to show her dreams really can come true.

As they conduct sonar studies and sweeps of the lake, their differing opinions are at odds with their budding attraction. Gail doesn’t believe in anything unscientific, such as romance, thinking the charming Flynn Maloney is full of baloney. Flynn can’t believe he’s falling for someone with no imagination or faith. To make matters worse, their videographer is covering his true identity. Together they must unravel his plan before he destroys everything they are working for. Will Gail force Flynn to question his faith, or will she discover more than she bargained for in the Scottish highlands?

Top Five Favorite Mythological Creatures

#1. Unicorn
The first poem I ever wrote way back in elementary school was about a unicorn. I grew up watching the animated classic The Last Unicorn and the fantasy movie Legend which stars a very young Tom Cruise. Unicorns were the central figures in both. In fact, the flute solo at the beginning of The Last Unicorn inspired me to play the flute which has become my life long career. Without unicorns where would I be today? Probably still working at Hannaford's.

#2. Vampire
The first R movie I saw was Interview with a Vampire-strangely also starring Tom Cruise. Vampires can be scary and sexy, and I love movies that feature both kinds! Yes, I'm a Twilight fan. I loved the first book, but didn't get into the second two. Please don't shoot me!

#3. Elf
Yes, I love those elves. I'm a big fan of Legolas. But, before LOTR, I read Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy, and he has some of the best elves imaginable. I love how they are smart and athletic and live forever- who doesn't want all of that? If only Game of Thrones had elves. You know what, on second thought probably better not. They'd probably all die anyway.

#4. Dragon
I have a fantasy romance book coming put from Lyrical/Kensington this summer about dragons called Minstrel’s Serenade. I love dragons. Probably my favorite dragon right now is the one on Merlin, even though he attacks the city when Merlin sets him free. He became such a great advisor to the young wizard.

#5. Pan
Yes, I love the flute playing half goat/half man. I've played pieces about him on my flute all my life. In fact, I have a new release out now about his relationship with Syrinx because I didn't like how the myth ended. It's titled Pan's Conquest, and it's only $0.99. So if you like mythological beasts, you should check it out!

Aubrie's Opinion on the Main Characters

Usually people fall into two major categories concerning the Loch Ness monster. Either they believe or they don't. There are the skeptics and the dreamers. In Love on Loch Ness, I embodied the two extremes in my hero and heroine. Gail is a scientist by nature, and only believes what she can prove with her instruments. Flynn is a dreamer and has enough faith to believe without the evidence. He goes on gut feelings. This makes for some pretty heated conversations between the two!

Not only are they at odds with their scientific beliefs, but Flynn must convince Gail about true love-something so unscientific, she can't seem to believe even when it's right in front of her!

I'm a dreamer myself. I totally get Flynn's perspective. But there is a part of me that doubts, and I dug really deep in that part of me to write Gail. So you could say they are the two sides battling inside me. Which one wins? Well, you'll have to read the book to find out!
