My Thoughts
Yes! I have finally read the conclusion to The Infernal Devices trilogy! Being a Mom and a blogger is very busy and exhausting...haha! Anyways, I finally got to reading Book 3 of The Infernal Devices, Clockwork Princess; and I have to say, this had a lot of suspense, drama, action and, even , romance. Cassandra Clare has written another book series that will leave any reader breathless for more. When I read each book, I had a difficult time putting it down for, with each turn of the page, I was hungry for more...With every twist and turn of the story, I caught myself gasping...talk about suspense!
The mystery of Tessa Gray's origin still eluded us through the entire trilogy until the end! And...I just was like "WOW!" The twist in each of the characters', not just Tessa, was magnificently well written. Cassandra Clare's characters are well written to the minute details such as each unique mannerisms and characteristics which them unique and easy to fall in love with. I love the wittiness of each of the characters as they interact throughout the story. Moreover, in this conclusion of The Infernal Devices, many secrets were revealed and many other revelations also came to light.
I also enjoyed how Cassandra Clare concluded this trilogy by having the story "come full circle." No matter how many obstacles these characters had to overcome, love still made its way back. With that, I just have to say that this conclusion definitely made me cry. Throughout the book, it had it's moments, but there is the final moment that REALLY "tugged" at my heart.
What more can I say, without spoiling the read for anyone else who hasn't read the book!?!
Well, being one that have read Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments series and, now, The Infernal Devices trilogy, she has created a world of light and dark filled with suspense, drama and intrigue...all intertwined within each of the character's histories; and, in turn, links them to each other.
Although these books are categorized under YA lit, I have found that novels like these would also appeal to the adult reader who favors like genres.
All in all, Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter world is filled with action, intrigue, suspense, drama...and, even, love which spans generations. This is a world that I have enjoyed losing myself in.
