*My Thoughts*

We're not into episode five and, so far, there is a cohesive storyline. The introduction of characters continue. Yes, the introduction of Maryse Lightwood happens pretty quickly into this episode. It is very apparent that the series has a "life" of its own...away from the book series. So...the comparing of the series to the books will definitely disappoint many fans. I can see how and where they took from the book and adapted characters and storylines to the series. I can see how these changes/differences work for the series. Moreover, the series still kept to most of the favorite "ships" that fans obsess about...haha! Yes, there are few references from the book that can be seen in the series...just not in the same order as written in the book. This is exactly why comparing series to the books can seriously ruin the whole fun of adapting a great book series to the television screen.

I loved reading the book series....and all the other books that have followed. Moreover, I am really enjoying this new series that is based on this book series. I am still getting used to the changes in some of the character development for some of these memorable characters. I am also catching some references connecting the book series as well. Of course, I will not spoil that. I'm sure many fans have caught it as well...haha!

Anyways, Simon's gradual change is subtle, yet noticeable. Alec and Jace's friendship is strained even more so since Clary. And, now, we get that introduction to the Werewolves. Yes! Finally! More on Luke's storyline...haha! I was definitely wondering how and when Luke was going to connect with Clary...hmmm! Although how he became Alpha was altered in the series, it works considering the direction the show is going. I'm also enjoying the development of Magnus and Alec. Yes! I am also "shipping" Magnus and Alec. I seriously hope that this TV series do this particular "ship" justice...haha! Yup! I am continuing to like the series more and more after each episode.

Well, that's all for now, until the next episode Shadowhunters!

For now, here's a sneak peek at Episode 6 - "Of Men and Angels"
