Synopsis:
If you like reading about the fae, other realms and watching two bada** chicks fight then you will love this series! – The Avid Reader

It’s good to be queen. Except when it’s a total disaster.

Syl Skye, newly crowned Queen of Fair Faerie, would be psyched to be the ruler of her Summer realm, except for two things.

First, her girlfriend Rouen Rivoche became Queen of Dark Faerie, the Winter realm. That would be great except the Winter realm’s always been at war with Summer. By tradition, that makes Rouen Syl’s mortal enemy. That said, love can break past old hatred, right? Especially with a new foe about to attack them both.

Ah, no.

Which brings us to Syl’s second problem. Rouen’s under a dark spell and doesn’t remember Syl, their lives, their love. Worse, if Syl doesn’t break the spell by the next new moon, Rouen will forget her forever.

Fast paced, full of action, never a moment of bore! Strongly recommended!” – Annarella, Goodreads

To defeat their foe, it’ll take two soul-bound queens whose hearts and minds act as one. Trouble is, no one has ever broken the dark spell Rouen suffers from.

Good thing Syl isn’t the type of queen who gives up easily.

*Excerpt*
CIRCUIT FAE is about two Fae queens, Syl the Summer Queen and Rouen the Winter Queen. Mortal enemies. Girlfriends. Relationship status: it’s complicated. In this scene, an enemy has Rouen captive and has cast a memory curse on her to forget Syl. Of course, Syl breaks in to save her. Here’s Syl’s POV

You’ve never been thrown out of a place until you’ve been thrown out by a seven-foot angry troll covered in chocolate. Wheee! For a sec, I’m a circus acrobat—flying through the night air with the greatest of ease—and then, wham! I crash into a pile of garbage bags in the alley behind Club Abattoir.
“Oof!” Overstuffed trash bags crumple beneath me. At least as a Fae, I’m mostly indestructible.
Everything except my pride.
“And stay out.” Brocky claps imaginary dirt off hamhock hands and turns on his heel like a British school marm disciplining a naughty student. Lucky for me, Roue ordered the trolls not to hurt me. Memory loss or not, she’s their queen, so they’ve gotta obey. Otherwise, who knows what Miss Jardin’s minions would’ve done to yours truly?
Slam! The rear gates to Abattoir crank shut, locking me out.
Locking me away from Roue.
“Nooooo!” I scramble up, scattering trash as I dash toward the gates. I wrap my hands around the cold wrought iron bars. Unlike other Fae, I’m not affected by iron. Plus, with my enhanced strength, I could tear these gates apart. In fact, I could tear through the entire club, burn the trolls down with my sleeper-princess white flame.
Get Roue back.
My aching heart tells me to do just that. Throw caution to the wind, go in guns a’blazing. Or in this case, Summer power blazing. Dark Fae hate fair Fae power. It’s also their weakness. On a good day, I might even be able to face down Miss Jardin.
Hold on there, Syl. That’s a pretty big might. And it wouldn’t bring Roue’s memory back.
For that, I need to outsmart Miss Jardin, figure out the key to her spell.
I sag against the gates, heartsick. “Roue…” Tears sting my eyes, and I rub them away. I’ve gotta be strong—for my girl and all of Faerie.
Footsteps hammer around the corner.
“Syl!” In a flash, Pru and Lennon are at my side. Concerned looks on their faces, the two of them brush trash and other gunk from my clothes. I’m mostly unscathed except for some ketchup on my sleeve and a gone-over orange squashed to a pulpy mess on my shoe.
“Ugh, why is there always rotten fruit?” I hobble to the sidewalk and scrape my shoe off, wrinkling my nose at the garbage smell. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s the smell of trash.
So. Gross.
The last thread of my patience snaps. “Stand back,” I warn my besties.
Time for a little sleeper-princess power up in here.
I throw up a don’t-see-me Glamoury and then flame on! My body flushes with sudden heat. From deep within, white flames rush up and blaze out of my hands in a powerful, pulsing wave.
The entire alleyway lights up, bright as a summer day.
Running my fiery hands over myself, I burn the rotten orange, sticky condiments, and stink from my skin and my clothes. Once I’m clean, I brush the flames away. They scatter onto the asphalt and wink out in teeny fireflies.
I do a little twirl. “See? Fresh as a daisy in summer.”
Pru plants her hands on curvy hips. “I’ll never understand how you don’t burn off all your clothes doing that.”
“It’s maaaaagic.” I wave jazz hands. I’m not 100% sure how my power knows not to burn up my clothes, but I’ll take it. Flashing my bare butt on the streets of LA tops my list of Things I Do Not Want.
“What happened?” Lennon asks, hitching her Totoro bag with her deck up higher on her shoulder.
With a sigh, I fill them in on everything—my failed attempt to get Roue to remember me, Miss Jardin activating the memory loss spell, the trolls throwing me out. My stomach sinks as I look back at the closed club. “So much for Plan 7. I’ll never get to her tonight.”
My words are soft, but the pain in my heart is as sharp as if I’ve been stabbed.
Pru puts an arm around me. “Not to worry.” She keeps her voice light, but I catch the looks she and Lennon are shooting back and forth.
Current status: Not good.
Back when Miss Jardin’s first cast her curse, it unleashed Roue’s dark side—the part inside each dark Fae that craves power and possession. It also stole Roue’s memories.
It’s so bad she doesn’t even remember who she is. Never mind me.
I kick a stray soda can. “There’s only six days before the new moon. Before that curse becomes permanent.” I don’t exactly love the idea of having to tell a certain bunch of dark Fae kids that their queen has gone AWOL forever.

Raised by witches and dragons in the northern wilds, Genevieve Isleut Eldredge (GIE) writes angsty urban fantasy YA romance--where girls who are mortal enemies kick butt, take names, and fall in love against all odds.

She enjoys long hikes in the woods (where better to find the fair folk?), believing in fairies (in fact, she's clapping right now), dancing with dark elves (always wear your best shoes), being a self-rescuing princess (hello, black belt!), and writing diverse books about teenage girls finding love, romance, and their own inner power.

She might be planning high tea at the Fae Court right now.

GIE is multi-published, and in her role as an editor has helped hundreds of authors make their dream of being published a reality.
