Plot Summary:
IF THEY HEAR YOU, THEY HUNT YOU.

In this “mind-blowingly tense”* thriller, a family must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back. Hailed by critics as “sensationally gripping”** and “heart-pounding”*** A Quiet Place is the must-see movie of the year.

*My Thoughts*

Silence. That's what keeps this family alive from these creatures from space. This was heart-pounding and "edge of your seat" terror. The film takes place in a world in ruins after the invasion of these monsters. The quiet heightened the drama as this family survives with creatures roaming about. This creature feature kept its monsters' appearance to a minimum which elevated the feel of terror as the slightest sound would have those monsters running to its source. Moreover, the film focuses on the parents' ordeal on raising their children in this creature-infested world. The cast convincingly played their parts well as a family.

I enjoyed watching this film. A Quiet Place provoked the senses of sight and sound to get a reaction out of the audience... Well, it did for me. Haha!!! It was crazy since the quiet can be "deafening." And this film accomplished in creating fear and terror with that quiet. It gave me chills. Yup! A Quiet Place did not need a ton of horror special/CGI effects to reach its goal of suspense and horror.
