Synopsis:
After years in the grueling California dating scene, Maggie Kelley has finally agreed to marry her Mr. Right Now. But there’s just one teensy problem…the county clerk lets her know that she’s technically still married to her Vegas fling: the best three days she ever had…and can’t actually remember. The moment she sees her very hot husband after eight years, with his works-well-with-his-hands attitude, she’s sure their wedding night must have been explosive.

The absolute last person Finnegan Garrity expected at his door is Maggie—his ultimate “one who got away.” Yet here she is in his small-town boat shop, looking just as adorable as ever…and wanting a divorce. Yeah, he has no intention of letting that happen. Now he’s got one week to convince Maggie that they’re still perfect for each other.

But he’s going to need more than just a do-over: he’s going to need a miracle.

*Excerpt*
“Is Finnegan Garrity here?”

A man surfaced from behind the propped-up bow of a boat. “Present,” he’d said, advancing farther from his burrow. He’d lazily leaned on the beams he was working on, sander in one hand and a beer in the other. “How can I help you, ma’am?”

Oh God. There it was. That accent. Exotic and unfamiliar to her ears, and it made her legs turn to jelly.
Heady, thick, and smooth, with the hint of a faint Irish lilt, his voice was like drowning in a dark ale.

Finn stepped down from the boat, an eyebrow arched as he stared at her expectantly. With his work boots unlaced, oil-stained Carhartt jeans, and works-well-with-his-hands confidence, he looked like something straight out of a Men’s Fitness: Mountain Men Edition magazine. Tall, rugged…delicious. Dark hair, a bit too long, like he needed a haircut two cuts ago. It curled playfully at the ends along his nape and around the ears.

Her fingers tingled at the remembrance of tangling  themselves in those curls so many years ago. She hadn’t known what to expect, seeing him after all these years. All she had to go on were eight years of fading memories, a boyish charm not even a drunken stupor could make her forget, and a pair of amber eyes etched in a dream. A lot could change in eight years.

He did not disappoint. A dark, scruffy beard covered the strong lines of his chin and jaw, and at least a week’s worth of I-don’t-care-enough-to-shave growth lined his upper lip, almost hiding that incredibly kissable Cupid’s bow curving up into a flirtatious half smile. The gray tee he wore bordered on too tight and showcased all the right places. Bits of the day’s work clung desperately to the fabric hinting at what lay underneath, and—judging by the sweaty discolorations on the front outlining every chiseled line of the male form—a six-pack she could bounce a quarter off.

Memories and images of him during their very short escapade together had flooded her thoughts. Since then, she’d put her wild rebellious days behind her and had suppressed everything Finn Garrity–related. Even that Vegas wedding chapel, apparently.

Speak. Maggie sucked in a breath. “A divorce would be nice. It… It would be quite helpful, actually.” Her heart pounded.

Finn shifted his weight, taking a small step back. His breathing hitched, and he reached out to support himself on a nearby beam. “Son of a bitch,” he whispered.

“Hello. I’m M—”

“I know who ya are,” he interrupted. He stood there, silent, while they stared at each other in some awkward  game of who would break eye contact first. Then finally he spoke. “Wanna tell me why you’re in my shop right now asking for something you took care of years ago?”

**About the Author**
Melissa MacKinnon spent her childhood exploring the coast of down east Maine without parental supervision and immersing herself in any book she could get her scrappy little hands on. Although she pursued a career in theater, the written word is her true calling.

She leads a full life with her husband and six children traveling the country to wherever the Army sends them in her very large twelve passenger van, in what she lovingly deems "organized chaos". She finds time to write in her "spare time", somewhere in between soccer practices and nap time with coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

She loves creating unforgettable romance, and enjoys writing and reading everything from sexy, sword-toting heroes to spit-out-your-coffee funny romantic comedies... as long as she doesn't get the book wet. She leaves that up to the characters.
