Lucifer is the story of the original fallen angel. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar has resigned his throne and retired to the City of Angels, where he owns an upscale piano bar called Lux. When a beautiful pop star is murdered, for the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him. Is he actually capable of feelings for a human being? The very thought disturbs him. The murder attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer, who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer. At the same time, God's emissary, the angel Amenadiel, has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to Hell. But with the City of Angels at his feet and a newfound purpose, Lucifer's having too much fun to go back now.

Sexy, dark and irreverent, Lucifer makes its Comic-Con debut with a screening of the complete pilot episode, followed by a Q&A with series star and producers. From Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Aggressive Mediocrity in association with Warner Bros. Television, and based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment's Vertigo imprint, Lucifer premieres Midseason on FOX.

*My Thoughts*

First off...OMG! We got an advance screening of the pilot episode of Lucifer!!! I, as well as the fans, enjoyed watching it! It was filled with humor, drama, suspense, and (of course) the paranormal/supernatural. And...no, I will not say anymore about the pilot episode. I really don't want to ruin the anticipation for the show's premiere. I've never read the comic series that this show is based on, so I couldn't compare. I wouldn't anyways. This pilot episode opens the story up its introduction to Lucifer as he "retires" to Los Angeles. How ironic...isn't it. LOL! Tom Ellis plays the charming and witty Lucifer...and he plays it well, as well as, the rest of the cast in their own characters. After the screening, there was a lively and fun discussion with the cast. However, the panel had no time for a Q&A with the audience, which was okay since we got to watch the pilot episode. This is definitely something I look forward to watching.

*My Thoughts*

I was and am totally excited about this show! Being in the genre I favor and connecting to The Omen film, I was definitely intrigued. Of course, not much was revealed when news came out of this new show, so when I found out that the A&E's Damien was on the SDCC 2015 schedule, I knew I wanted to sit in this panel. Before the discussion and Q&A began, we got to watch  an exclusive Comic-Con trailer. Fans learned about what the cast thoughts on taking these roles and the storyline of the show. We got a bit more insight about the characters from the cast.

I will have to watch The Omen...again, before this show premieres! LOL!

*My Reaction*

Wow! I am even more intrigued after watching this trailer! I loved that scenes from the 1976 The Omen film were used, particularly as flashbacks of Damien's childhood. Bradley James plays this iconic character in his adult years as he grapples with the truth of who he is. I am excited to see where the writers of the show takes this storyline. I would love to see more scenes from  the original films integrated into the show, as we saw in this exciting trailer. Moreover, the trailer also emphasized the elements of mystery, suspense, and drama. There was only so much that was revealed in the trailer that my curiosity was definitely peaked. Find out the answer to that ever-popular question and more as Comic-Con special guest and DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee (Superman Unchained, Justice League, Batman) sketches live on stage and answers your life-long comic book questions in this fun and interactive panel.

*My Thoughts*

This panel didn't feel like a panel at all. It felt more like a chat session with Jim Lee. He spoke much about drawing, in particular drawing the Joker and Batman. He discussed the different characteristics of each character that he draws. He even called up a couple of aspiring artists to draw their take on the Joker. Moreover, Jim Lee entertained many fans with his sketches of these popular characters in the DC universe. He elaborated on shapes and shadowing when drawing characters. Jim particularly specified how shadowing creates the illusion of shapes and depth... a "matter of tricking the eye." Of course, he shared advice and tips for all the aspiring artists attending this panel.

As he sketched, fans were in awe as he drew the Joker and Batman. From pencil sketches to shadowing, we watched Jim Lee bring out these characters on paper.

Unfortunately, I was not able to get a wristband for his signing at the DC Entertainment booth. I was really bummed, but...hopefully... I can try for a signing next year...haha!
