“Deep down, I think I’ll always hate Valentine’s Day… especially the way it is celebrated.”
13 Reasons Why brings out all the high school bullshit that the underdog or victim goes through and throws it in your face. The “slut,” the “attention seeker,” victim blaming; no one likes being lonely and thrown into hunting season with a giant target on their back. While I don’t fully empathize with Hannah, what she is going through is real. Sexual assault and peer pressure aren’t topics of conversation that are easy to bring up and I’m glad 13 Reasons Why pulls it out of the dark.
In this episode, Hannah’s hope to find decent people or a decent guy is being butchered by one rumor, or several going around. What irks me is that everyone is playing bystander, “it wasn’t my fault” or “she’s a liar.” We could all do something, if an event goes against our beliefs or morals, but some of us just don’t. I’m guilty of doing nothing and I feel like 13 Reasons Why can teach people to do otherwise.
13 Reasons Why is eliciting a response from me and it may be hard for some people to watch, but it brings out important topics. The suspense is killer and I want to know what the recordings will say next.
AMC's Fear the Walking Dead returns at sea, aboard the Abigail. The group is unaware of the true breadth of the apocalypse; they assume there still a chance that some city, state, or nation might be unaffected, some place where infection has not hit. Abandoning land, Madison, Travis and Daniel gather their grieving families for ports unknown. But the respite of Strand's ocean-side home is short-lived. They will discover that the water may be no safer than land.

At the start of the episode, on the Baja-front, a church full of parishioners dies (in a prologue to the episode/flashback)...of what, we do not know...yet. However, before they die, Tom Abigail and the priest exchange a few words...regarding "she." We soon come to find out who this "she" is.
Well, crossing into Mexico didn't go off as planned. Finally! They made it to Mexico! But, they arrived with some casualties. In their attempt to cross into Mexico, Luis gets shot and, eventually dies. However, not without giving Nick a message to pass to his mother. Moreover, he asks them to give an odd coin, with an owl on its face, to his mother. Strange... That "owl" seems to mean something, but Daniel seems to have recognized what it is then throws it into the water. I don't know, but it looks like Daniel is...losing it.
The group reaches the church to find a deserted town and an empty church. Strand panics when he sees Tom's truck. Very curious to find Tom's truck by the church, but no Tom. Dead parishioners starts walking out of everywhere and attacks the group. What!?! They fend them off...Nick, Daniel, and Chris have a moment of hesitation. Well, Daniel seems to be haunted by his past. Nick...hmmm...he just seems bothered with all this death and his part in it. As for Chris, I don't know, he is definitely troubled, and it is building. Chris did just watch Madison get overtaken by a dead man, and he just froze and watched. Good thing Alicia saw it and saved her mother. The group gets away on Tom's truck.
The compound looks like everything the group thought it would be. Or is it? The first thing Strand searches for is Tom. But he gives Celia bad news about Luis. Strange...how Celia doesn't react wildly to the news that her son has died.
In this episode, Victor and Thomas's relationship is even more noticeable. Victor isn't as cold-hearted or calculating as he seemed in the beginning. We see why he was so determined to reach Baja; and to whom he was speaking to on the satellite phone. But, he finds that Thomas has been bitten, and doesn't have much time left.
Daniel is suspicious of Celia, with good reason, especially after finding a cellar filled with the dead. Hmmm...sure seems like there was a similar situation in an episode of The Walking Dead when Glenn found a barn filled with the dead as well. Hmmm... "safety" definitely is an illusion in this world. Well, Daniel looks like his past is creeping up on him, especially now that they are in the heart of where he and his family escaped...Mexico.
Nick and Ofelia's "relationship" continues to grow. Plus, it is interesting how Nick is drawn to Celia...a mother figure. Travis and Madison's relationship gets even more strained when it comes to their children. Chris has a lot on his mind...but then again, who wouldn't!?! That's a lot of death that he is witnessing at his young age. Ofelia is starting to worry about her father. Is Chris a threat to Madison and Alicia? Or is he just tired and troubled with everything that has happened...like Nick? Alicia seems to think he is, but then again, she's also troubled as well...aren't they all?!?
Victor is seriously considering suicide...just to be with Tom? Celia prepares Thomas for death, and Victor is deep in thought. Celia is proud of Victor? She didn't like him from the beginning, then she's proud of him for deciding to commit suicide!?! Huh...very odd to say the least. However, Victor decides not to take the Communion wafer and shoots Thomas is the head. But, it is apparent on Victor's face that he made a very difficult decision. This will be a burden he will carry.
This show continues to develop and progress as these characters find a way to survive and keep it together. Even in Mexico, this infection has spread throughout...no one is safe.
Damien Thorn (James Bradley) discovers that he is the Antichrist. He must confront his past and cope with the truth of who and what he is. Stay Connected:

As Damien starts to unravel the conspiracy around him, it leads him to a beloved figure from his past and a confrontation with Rutledge.

Is it religious or is it a drug? I guess you can say it was both. If it wasn’t the work of Satan, then Damien wouldn’t exist. Our opening scene sends us to the hospital with Damien after his suicide attempt in the previous episode and from then on, it seems like he couldn’t be happier. He tries to continue a rational life without Rutledge in the way, things start going the way he wishes, and the strange occurrences are just orchestrated events, but the sad part is no one seemed to be on his side in the end.
Damien wakes up and leaves the hospital without any fuss but the scene was far too bloody for this episode to be peaceful; a foreshadow to the conclusion. Patients bleeding everywhere, blood being cleaned on the floor, this only seems natural for an emergency room, and the opening credits start by zooming in on a puddle of blood. Afterwards, Damien begins to take matters into his own hands by investigating Rutledge and even John Lyons. One is overly enthusiastic to be at his side and the other is far too calm at “handling” the other. He finds out he was drugged, had the 666 symbol tattooed in his hairline, and that his parents had died because of Rutledge. It was all too good to be true. Like she said in a previous episode, Damien is just trying to put the blame on someone else.
But inconsistencies popped up midway through the episode. The Omenman can’t have a fairytale ending as things turn sour. The highest point of his happiness deteriorates in front of him as more deaths occur, once by his own hands and subsequent orchestrated events. I ask again, “Does someone always have to die in an episode of Damien?” The darker and more desperate side of his personality begins to surface as Rutledge appears yet again with bodyguards to tear Damien out of his investigation and everywhere he turns is another dead end. John Lyon begins to confront Damien along with Detective Shay and his closest friends begin to distance themselves from him, making the downward slope in this episode all the steeper.
In the end, it was all but a dream. We are taken back to the very first scene of the episode but instead of seeing the ambulance rushing to the hospital, we see Damien struggling and losing his mind. Well played director; you almost had me fooled. I can’t wait to see everyone’s reaction and treatment of Damien after this episode but of course Detective Shay will be skeptical and crude in his investigation and we haven’t heard from Sister Greta Fraueva (Robin Weigert) from the Vatican in a while.
Lucifer is the story of the original fallen angel. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar has resigned his throne and retired to the City of Angels, where he owns an upscale piano bar called Lux. When a beautiful pop star is murdered, for the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him. Is he actually capable of feelings for a human being? The very thought disturbs him. The murder attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker, who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer. At the same time, God's emissary, the angel Amenadiel, has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to Hell. But with the City of Angels at his feet and a newfound purpose, Lucifer's having too much fun to go back now.
Lucifer bails on Chloe when he becomes bored with her investigation into a ruthless biker gang murder. Lucifer realizes that something very personal to him was stolen.

*My Thoughts*
Oh boy! It's getting pretty personal, especially when his container is stolen. At first, he doesn't let on that it bothers him. But, throughout the episode, he slowly unravels and he does reveal that stealing his container has definitely rocked him to his core. Now, of course, it is what is inside the container that Lucifer has this urgency to recover.
Although he is having too much fun in L.A., he is also having a lot of fun working with Detective Chloe. However, like a child, when gets bored, he loses interest. But not this time...since this particular homicide case involves something of great importance to him. Now, what could be so important to Lucifer that he gets unhinged!?!
For being the Devil, Lucifer has a lot of issues...lol! He's even going to therapy! Looks like the good doctor therapist has gotten under Lucifer's skin with the mention of a particular name. Of course, she is getting help from Amenadiel. What's also interesting...not only is Lucifer learning and dealing with his own issues, Amenadiel is also learning more about his brother...even though he's manipulating the situation to get Lucifer to go back to Hell. This is just too funny!
All this world building and character development is revealing so much depth to the story...and fun, of course. With every episode, we are learning more about Lucifer and how he is enjoying his "vacation/retirement" from Hell in Los Angeles. This is definitely a side of the Devil that's more human and emotional...haha! And...to compare him to a rebellious child. Hmmm... "if the shoe fits", right!?! It sure seems like it. Not only that...there's that underlying theme of "family matters." It's very interesting and entertaining in how all that is interwoven with each other giving us this amusing series!

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El, Superman's (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities, and be the hero she was always meant to be.
Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents' help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret.
Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant. She works alongside her friend and IT technician Winn Schott and famous photgrapher James Olsen, who Grant just hired away from the Daily Planet to serve as her new art director. However, Kara's days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw, head of a super-secret ageny where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.
Personal and professional stress get the better of Kara when she goes too far during a training exercise against Red Tornado, a military cyborg commissioned by Lucy Lane's father, General Sam Lane. Also, Cat's tough exterior is shaken by a visit from her judgmental mother, Katherine, and Alex enlists Winn to look into her father's mysterious death.
*My Thoughts*
Well, Kara definitely has some issues she needs to deal with, especially after her anger gets the better of her. She continues to pine for James. But, it seems that James has some reservations. Kara and James's friendship grows. Although Supergirl faces off with a man-made threat, the main storyline focused anger issues or anger management...and prejudices.
From the premiere to now, the carefully placed references about the people's "fear" of , as well as the prejudice against, these superheros have been evident. In this particular episode, the mistrust/prejudice of these "alien" super heroes was made abundantly clear. Very interesting how Henshaw mentions the term "god-like" in relation to Supergirl...hmmm. However, Supergirl displayed humanity which can be forgotten when fear and prejudices influences the population.
Kara and Cat's work relationship is so refreshing. Little by little, we are seeing another side of Cat that is hidden deep within her dictatorial persona that she displays to her staff, especially to Kara. It has become apparent that Cat is role model for Kara. Moreover, is Maxwell Lord showing some romantic interest in Alex Danvers...hmmm? Speaking of which, Alex seeks Winn's help to find out what happened to her father. Hmmm...what is the connection between the Danvers family to the DEO? We are beginning to see a connection via a flashback in a previous episode, and now, with what Winn found out.
More subplots are revealed as Supergirl battles the day to day of being a super hero and being an average civilian. Doesn't look like a "normal life" for Kara is not part of her destiny...or is it?
Well, for now, let's get a sneak peek at Episode 7 - "Human for a Day"
Based on the wildly popular comic book series Hellblazer from DC Comics, seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine (Matt Ryan, "Criminal Minds") is armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts and a wickedly naughty wit. He fights the good fight - or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he's decided to abandon his campaign against evil until a series of events thrusts him back into the fray, and he'll do whatever it takes to protect the innocent. With the balance of good and evil on the line, Constantine will use his skills to travel the country, find the supernatural terrors that threaten our world and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows... maybe there's hope for him and his soul after all.
The cast also includes Harold Perrineau (Lost) as Manny and Charles Halford (True Detective) as Chas.Writer Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist, Dexter) serves as executive producer with David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight Rises). Constantine is produced from Bonanza Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The show is based upon characters published by DC Entertainment.
I am definitely loving the show! The horror element is definitely a strong presence in each of these episodes. Constantine and Chas is on another case when they checkout the "map"...this time they head to Birmingham, Alabama where there have been deaths of parents and a surviving child. More suspenseful elements are at play in this episode as the possessed child is causing some bloody chaos. However, it was apparent that John has is reservations about this case because of what happened to Astrid. Although I enjoy Manny's "pop in" moments, I would like to see more. Manny has already stated that they can't intervene directly, but they can guide...can it get any more cryptic...sheesh!!??!!
The series is apparently still character building at a steady pace, but it needs to pick up. We get that John is hesitant about this case involving children, because of what happened in his past. I'm really liking how bits and pieces of John's past, like that scene with the paralegal, are worked in to the episode(s) to reveal more about Constantine's history and character. Of course, we can't forget to mention that the intense horror/suspense element is very much strong in this episode.
I definitely want to see more of this series. With that ever-present dread of new shows getting cancelled, I seriously hope that Constantine does not get cancelled. I really would hate to see this series go. There's so much more to this series that still has to be told. It would be such a shame to cancel it. I know I've got my "fingers crossed" that this series gets renewed.
