It is such a gorgeous, distinctive cover, melding together unique paranormal aspect of the world and the sizzle of the relationship between Mad Rogan and Nevada. It's rare when the cover captures a scene from the book exactly the way the author had imagined it. You learn to resign yourself to it. Covers aren't meant to be a literal representation of the narrative, but Burn For Me is. It actually shows a pivotal scene, especially when combined with the aerial view splashback. If you read the book, you'll know exactly what I mean. when I got the cover file, I sent it to a friend. She emailed back in minutes. The email said, "Who did you sacrifice to Cover Gods to get this?"

Burn For Me is a slight departure from Ilona Andrews' other bestselling urban fantasy series. There's still the trademark snappy dialogue/narrative and action-packed scenes, but there's a stronger romance thread here that we wanted to get across right away with this cover. Our hero Rogan is not just hot and sexy, but he's powerful. Like kill-you-with-a-stare powerful. And Nevada is just as strong, only she doesn't realize her full potential yet. So I wanted to show off our couple, have that intimacy between them and not lose any kickass-ness (I know, not a real word, sorry). The background with the exploding buildings around them...the idea was Ilona's and the execution is just exquisite.

**About the Author**

Ilona Andrews is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a beter grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.)

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Chasing Serenity. I loved the characters. We all have pasts, pain, heartache and secrets, and that's apparently so with the these characters. It's true secrets and lies can be devastating. But, it takes a lot as well get past the hurt and give yourself a second chance, and that's what is centered around our two main characters...Autumn and Declan. Set in the backdrop in a small university town, the story of second chances unravels for Autumn, Declan and a few others. Eden Butler added a flair of dramatics with a touch of competitive sportsmanship which brought this story to life. I loved Autumn's spirit and tenacity to overcome, but yet, she still is vulnerable due to her pain of loss.

Although the beginning was a bit sluggish, their story picked up as Autumn and Declan's attraction grew, and more secrets were revealed. Despite the slow beginning, there was enough to keep me turning the pages. I wanted to get to know Autumn, Declan and everyone else. I was intrigued at how much a sport can bring people together despite their differences. I was drawn in to Autumn's fear and dread of loving someone again. With that being said, I loved Autumn and Declan's story.

Chasing Serenity is a touching story of pain and loss with a glimmer of hope for a new beginning.

Whoa! Sweet Ruin is definitely NOT your standard contemporary romance novel. However, Nazarea's characters are her usual "broken" individuals that have pasts and heartache that they hide behind their drive for success. In Sweet Ruin, our main characters are all in the same field in their career choices. Asher is a Hollywood celebrity, Megan is Asher's PA and Luca is a hot model...talk about entertainment. The story was well written and the characters were also well developed. These three characters had definite individual identities and personalities that revealed a lot of growth throughout the book. I can definitely appreciate the romantic, intimate and sensual take on a threesome. I was impressed that Nazarea made the topic of a taboo subject into a beautiful love story. It was in no way written in a raunchy or dirty feel to it.

Again, Nazarea has written strong individual characters with pasts that they need to overcome and face. I appreciated the story of Megan going home to Branton where she grew up, and where she has to face her past.  As the story progresses, Megan, Asher and Luca has nothing but time to really open up to each other and face their fears. However, I feel that I want more...I want to see where they go after the end of this book. There could be so much more... what would happen with their threesome relationship, especially with their lives always in the limelight...especially in Hollywood. It seems that Sweet Ruin is just the beginning for these three characters, and I would love to read more on it.

Sweet Ruin is not your traditional romance. Definitely not lacking in the intimacy and sensuality department. This is a read that will get you hot and bothered, but, yet, you will fall in love with these characters.
