Synopsis:
They have a love-hate relationship with summer.

Sidney and Asher should have clicked. Two star swimmers forced to spend their summers on a lake together sounds like the perfect match. But it’s the same every year—in between cookouts and boat rides and family-imposed bonfires, Sidney and Asher spend the dog days of summer finding the ultimate ways to prank each other. And now, after their senior year, they’re determined to make it the most epic summer yet.

But their plans are thrown in sudden jeopardy when their feud causes their families to be kicked out of their beloved lake houses. Once in their new accommodations, Sidney expects the prank war to continue as usual. But then she gets a note—Meet me at midnight. And Asher has a proposition for her: join forces for one last summer of epic pranks, against a shared enemy—the woman who kicked them out.

Their truce should make things simpler, but six years of tormenting one another isn’t so easy to ignore. Kind of like the undeniable attraction growing between them.

*Excerpt*
“You look—fine.” Fine. He looks pained to have said the word. It hurts worse to hear it.
“A ringing endorsement,” I say. I’m not sure what I expected from him, but fine doesn’t make me feel great about my go-to outfit. Have I looked fine every time I’ve gone out thinking I was absolutely killing it? Even though it’s Asher—who lives to torment me—it still leaves a little dent in my self-confidence.
He shoves his hands down into the pockets of his shorts. “I wouldn’t lie—I have to walk in with you.”
“And I have to walk in with you,” I say, glancing down at his T-shirt and raising my brows dramatically.
“Oh, come on, this is hilarious.” He looks down at the shirt again, as if he forgot what was there. “And think how good you’ll look next to this.” He waves a hand across his shirt, top to bottom.
That makes me smile against my will. Stupid, traitorous smile. I wish he really did look bad; that he wasn’t the kind of guy who looks good in everything.
“Do you want me to change? Because that would be quicker. If you go in that room”—he glances down the hallway that leads to my bedroom—“we might never get out of here.” He crosses his arms over his chest and his face is smug. “I bet you started getting ready right after dinner.”
I hate these freaking co-family dinners. “Stalker,” I mutter, because I hate how predictable I am even if he’s not. “Fine,” I say.
“Fine, you’re not going to change?”
“Fine, I won’t change . . . if you do.” I give him a take that look.
Asher rolls his eyes.
“You offered,” I point out, my voice innocent and sweet. “I’ll meet you at the car in five,” he says over his shoulder as he walks out the door. I’m sitting in Dad’s car, blasting the AC, when Asher comes out of his house. It’s dusk, almost dark, but I can still make him out in the light cast from the porch light. And suddenly, my clothes offer a whole new kind of problem. I mutter his name like a curse.
Asher
The entire drive is a struggle to keep my smile in check. Sidney’s face is a mask of simmering, barely concealed rage. Like maybe she’ll run us off the road just to take me out.
Because we match.

Synopsis:
Aiden Emerson is an all-star pitcher and the all-around golden boy of Riverton. Or at least he was, before he quit the team the last day of junior year without any explanation. How could he tell people he's losing his vision at seventeen?

Straight-laced Olivia thought she had life all figured out. But when her dream internship falls apart, her estranged mother comes back into her life, and her long-time boyfriend ghosts her right before summer break, she's starting to think fate has a weird sense of humor.

Each struggling to find a new direction, Aiden and Olivia decide to live summer by chance. Every fleeting adventure and stolen kiss is as fragile as a coin flip in this heartfelt journey to love and self-discovery from the author of Love Songs & Other Lies.

*Excerpt*
OLIVIA
“Did you, or did you not, spend the last two Saturdays planning a wedding with his mom and sister?”
“I did. Because his sister is my friend, and I actually like his mom. And then I went out with my boyfriend.”
Emma scowls and a little rumble escapes her throat. “Did you? Did you go out and do something fun?”
We went to a movie. Movies are fun. Last time I checked, taking your girlfriend to a movie wasn’t a criminal offense. Where is this coming from? Zander and Emma have always gotten along. “What’s wrong with a movie?”
“Nothing, it’s perfect. He’s perfect. Just like you’ve been telling me since we were ten.”
“And?”
“And before you know it, you’re going to be going to the movies that Zander picks out for the rest of your life,” she says.
“And that’s the worst thing?”
“It’s not very romantic.”
“They make movies about falling in love with your best friend, Em. It is romantic.”
“Yeah, but they’re like . . . Hallmark movies.” Em squishes her nose up, like just the word offends her. “You need to be in the kind of movie that gets leaked on the internet because it’s so hot.”
She makes a sizzling sound when she touches my knee and I want to laugh but I can’t quite make myself. I hate that she’s putting these thoughts into my head, making me question what I’ve always wanted. Because I have always wanted Zander. I still want him.
“Okay, but seriously.” Em’s eyes are soft. “You’ve been in love Zander since you were ten or something. You’ve never kissed another guy. You’ve never been wooed.”
“Wooed? Seriously?”
“Don’t you want to know what it’s like?”
“What?” I can feel the warmness rising up in my chest, the feeling when I know I’m in trouble, when I’ve done something wrong, been caught. I feel the panic rising up, the anxiety and anger. The sadness. I breathe slow through my nose, so slow Emma won’t even notice it. But I do. I feel the air filling my lungs, feel the blood cooling down, my nerves starting to settle. 1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . I can’t remember the last time I had to calm my nerves like this, had to do my breathing exercises from therapy. But I feel so unwanted right now.
“Don’t you want to know what it feels like to be chased?”
She’s right. I was most definitely the chaser with Zander. Even though he’s the one who made the move that turned us into a couple, I was the one sitting on the sidelines, waiting for it. Deep down, I know he knew how I felt about him. For years. So yes, it’s a little sad that I just waited around all of those years, until he was ready. But it never mattered because I ended up with what I always wanted. “Maybe I don’t want to be chased,” I say.
“And maybe you do.”
Yeah, maybe I do.

Synopsis:
It's summer romance and second chances, the songs that stay in your head, and the boy you'll never forget.

Two years after rock-song-worthy heartbreak, Virginia Miller is looking forward to a fun, carefree summer. Her friends just landed a spot on a battling bands reality show, and Vee is joining them for her dream internship on tour. Three months with future rockstars seems like an epic summer plan. Until she learns she’ll also be sharing the bus with Cam. Her first love, and her first heartbreak. Now Vee has more than just cameras to dodge, and Cam’s determination to win her forgiveness is causing TMZ-worthy problems for both of them. With cameras rolling, she’ll have to decide if her favorite breakup anthem deserves a new ending. And if she’s brave enough to expose her own secrets to keep Cam’s under wraps.

Breaking Vee’s heart was never Cam’s plan. All he wanted senior year was a new life, in a new town, uninterrupted by the tragedy he left behind. Then Vee swept him into a whirlwind of friendship, musical adventure, and a love he didn’t expect or want. Now, he has a second chance to make it right. But things get complicated when ratings-crazy producers, cameramen, and fans are involved. Can he rewrite their love song with the whole world watching?

Sometimes the last note is just the beginning. Love Songs & Other Lies is the debut romance from Jessica Pennington that Katie McGarry calls "fun and full of heart with a hero who stole my heart!”
