Synopsis
The events of Claudia's party were nothing more than a distant memory as far as Kia was concerned. She was ready to resume her life as though that night had never happened. But it's a slippery slope eeping a secret and Kia's about to learn just how hard when she's faced with the truth and the consequences of her decision.
Adam Chaves was no stranger to girls wanting him. He was no stranger to breaking hearts, although never intentionally. What he didn't understand was how Kia could undress him, touch him, burn him with her eyes and still keep him at arm's length when it was evident how much it cost her. But what Kia didn't realize was that he had never given up on anything in his life and he wasn't about to start now. He would have his girl even if it meant he had to kidnap her to do it.

Excerpt
"I like you, Kia." His gaze was sharp, intense as he searched my eyes.
"I'm not ready to let you go. I might never be. I don't know. I only know that when I look at you , this," he brushed the back of his fingertips over my cheek, sending tendrils of fire racing beneath my skin. "This is where I want to be. With you."

My Thoughts
What a conclusion to The Lost Girl Duology! I loved how it ended...a very dramatic ending. It's not a perfect ending, but what teenager has a perfect ending. I thought it was a realistic conclusion to all the pitfalls that many teen issues that young adults encounter growing up. I loved how much Kia has grown since the first book Finding Kia. She was no longer that nerdy invisible girl anymore. And, finding love with Adam was the fire that started it all.
I absolutely loved how Airicka told the story in Kia and Adam's point of view. At first, I didn't know how the story would flow. But, as I continued reading, it did work! I got a glimpse of both sides revealing what how they saw, react and thought about each other. Not only did Kia grow, her relationship with Adam grew as well. Throughout the troublesome obstacles that was laid before them to overcome, they did. Airicka also wrote an amazing story about true friendship with these characters...no matter what, true friends will always there. Sure, teens make mistakes, but teens always makes mistakes and learn from it...right!?! Well, that's what I learned with Airicka's characters. Not only did I see these teen characters learn and grow, so did the parents. Yes, this is not just for young adults... I think adults, parents in particular, will enjoy a read like this. I know I do.
I found myself smiling in some points of the book. I also found my eyes welling up with tears in other points as well. Revealing Kia was definitely an emotional rollercoaster ride through these teens lives dealing with real issues that teens today deal with everyday...with a great ending.
