*My Thoughts*

Well, Army of the Dead is entertaining. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. This new take on a zombie movie was fun to watch, filled with clichés, and lots of comedy/humor. I definitely had a good laugh throughout. It was an interesting concept/twist with the zombies.

With the brief intro and flashbacks of what started the zombie outbreak, it somewhat gives a bit of a description/background of the characters involved in the plot of this movie. It seemed like it was just "skimming off the top" when developing the characters and the story. But, by the end, it felt like that it had potential to establish a new zombie franchise. But, of course, the zombie action was so cool! Yes, it was! I really liked the concept that there are evolved zombies?!?!? Whoa! That alone is a concept that has potential... Ha! Well, I think it does.

Anyways, Army of the Dead is an entertaining zombie movie. Not a lot of horror, but definitely a zombie movie with flair, especially considering it takes place in the flashy location of Las Vegas. With just a little bit of comedy, drama, action, and lots of zombie, Zack Snyder created a whole different zombie world that has potential to expand. I would watch it again... Ha!

*My Thoughts*

Note: This Review contains NO spoilers

So... It has been a few days since watching Zack Snyder's Justice League. And now, after taking a few days to mull over what I had watched, I think I can put my thoughts on this movie down in this review. But, one thing I will not do is compare it to the 2017 Justice League theatrical release.

I really enjoyed this "version" of Justice League. It felt whole. Each of these superheroes stories were told which further built that character development. It just made the story tie and flow together. What I also liked was that this 4 hour 2 minute film was broken into parts or chapters. The break up made for a flow of the storyline that made sense. It was like each "chapter" was telling and setting up for the next. It was visually magnificent masterpiece!

Of course, the length of the film made for a long movie night. At least, we were able to pause for intermission... Haha! But, this was the story that I was waiting for in continuing the story of these superheroes. Be it 4 hours long or 2 hours long, the movie should satisfy viewers/fans. And, I was definitely satisfied with Zack Snyder's Justice League in telling the story for each of them: Cyborg, Flash, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman. Oh... Can't forget we got our first look at another soon-to-be Justice League member, too.

It was so worth the wait to get this version out. And, it was so worth the 4 hours 2 minutes. 😁Thank you to all the fans for fighting for this. Thank you to Zack Snyder for completing this and allowing fans to see his vision of the Justice League.

Bottom line... I really enjoyed this amazing and stunning film. So, yeah, I am so fan gushing on this movie. Zack Snyder's Justice League told so much with it's well developed characters and narratives. There is so much more to tell, too. And... This is just the beginning for the Justice League! This was just beautiful! So damn worth the 4 hours 2 minutes of it!

*My Reaction*

Whoa! Was that Doomsday revealed in this latest trailer for Batman v Superman!?! Oh dayum! This is gonna be GOOD! Well...that's just me! Besides, I really liked Man of Steel, and this upcoming film connects that to this...which will be quite interesting.

Can this get anymore exciting! We now have more revealed of the "players" in this upcoming film, such as: Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman. We do see tidbits of the connection from Man of Steel to this film. The action is ever present. The tension between Batman and Superman is intense...even between their alter egos, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent. LOL! Now, we have a full-on Wonder Woman tease! Plus, this trailer revealed the "big bad" other than the obvious conflict between Superman and Batman.

It is definitely going to be interesting seeing Jesse Eisenberg portray Lex Luthor in this film. With each release of a teaser and trailer, I get even more curious about the storyline.

So, yeah, I am definitely looking forward to seeing this!

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Kal-El under the direction of Zack Snyder.

My Thoughts:
I...loved it! It was definitely action-filled scenes. As expected from director Zack Snyder, the film was visually stunning. We saw a vision of Krypton as it laid out the foundation of the storyline/plot. Henry Cavill did an amazing job in his role as Clark Kent/Kal-El. This film is definitely a different vision of our favorite superhero, but after watching it, it is an epic film...one of the best I have seen. I'm no professional, but I grew up watching Super man films and television series that has made it to the big screen and the television screen. With amazing screenwriters, David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan, they created a story that gave us a brief history to Kal-El's origin.

First off, we get a brief glimpse of what happened on Krypton which prompts Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and Lara Lor-Van (Ayelet Zurer) to send their only son, Kal-El, to Earth. In addition to that decision, we also get a glimpse of the conflict between Jor-El and General Zod (Michael Shannon); hence, General Zod's obsession to find Kal-El.

Although we only see Clark's life in flashbacks, it reveals much of what he had to overcome and what he learned from living with his adoptive parents and growing up on Earth. I thought that was an ingenious way of telling Clark's story without having to go into great detail of his life as a young boy and as a teenager.

Fast forward, Clark ends up working on a military site where an unknown ship is found in the ice. This is where it starts to get really interesting. Clark Kent finds the answers he's been looking for and more. Like every Superman film and TV show, it is always exciting when our superhero dons the trademark suit! Soon enough, he is flying through the clouds!

Hence, the plots thickens when General Zod comes to Earth. We learn how in flashbacks as he tells Kal-El. This confrontation leads to a lot of chaos and destruction as General Zod and Kal-El battles it out; Kal-El trying to save Earth and General Zod trying to destroy it to rebuild Krypton. But, during all that did it drop hints of a possible sequel with Lex Luthor...hmmm!!??!! Will "Lexcorp" have a hand at rebuilding Metropolis!!??!! We will have to wait and see....

All that action definitely kept me at the edge of my seat with the amazing CGI effects. The cast was great as well. Michael Shannon as General Zod was an amazing villain. Henry Cavill has joined the others that have donned the suit of our favorite superhero.

Although I have read a variety of not-so-good reviews of Man of Steel, by the reactions I get from friends, I would say that fans are disagreeing with many of these not-so-good reviews. But, oh well, to each there own...right!!??!! I, for one, loved it! And, I liked the direction Zack Snyder, David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan is taking the story.

Since there is rumor of a Man of Steel sequel, as long as the original cast reprises their roles, I am all for it!

In the end, I would say it is a definite "must see" film.
