I am just reeling at this epic conclusion to The Danaan Trilogy! A Place Beyond was a topsy-turvy journey between two worlds as Allison struggles and fights to save those she loves. Of course, it is important to read this trilogy from the beginning since The Forgotten Ones and Stone of Destiny (book 1 & 2, respectively) sets up the entire setting for this dramatic conclusion. I mean seriously, I was brought to tears in some seriously emotional parts!

This epic and dramatic end of an amazing trilogy was filled with action, adventure, twists, and an emotional turn that will have you reeling with mixed up feels. Being that of a fairytale nature, of course, it did have that happy ending...but, it was also bittersweet.

Laura Howard delivered an amazing faery story that was filled with wonderful characters that expressed a great deal of emotional conflict, even when it was hidden. It will definitely tear your heart up.

Whoa! Wow! Laura Howard did it again with this second book of The Danaan Trilogy! Stone of Destiny starts where The Forgotten Ones ended. And, boy, is it one that is filled with suspense that will leave you gasping! Now that Allison knows who her father is and all the secrets behind his reason why he's been "gone" for so many years, Allison is focused on helping her mother...and now, her father.

Again, secrets are revealed that affect both worlds and the people in it. Laura's knack to write just enough to reveal the mystery, but not, creates that apprehension with, not only, the characters, but with the reader as well. Wow! My heart is still racing with that anxiety of the danger and peril that these characters are in! The only part I was not happy about is the "waiting"...LOL! Yes, I was getting as impatient as Allison...hahaha!! But, it was all a part of the flow of the story. 

I really don't want to give any more without spoiling it. After all, The Forgotten Ones (book 1) introduces readers to these wonderful characters and a mystical world that I don't want to take away that suspenseful and thrilling feeling for other readers. All I will say is that Stone of Destiny is another wonderfully written, suspenseful, and mysterious story with a touch of friends and family bonding, plus romance. Allison is learning how to open up and trust more now that she knows she's not alone. We can't forget that, again, Laura leaves us with a cliffhanger...with enough uncertainty to keep us thinking until the third and final book!

I am such a sucker for the paranormal/fantasy genre that when I read The Forgotten Ones, it reminded me of why I love this genre! Laura Howard brought to life a world of faeries to this story. As stated in the aforementioned summary, Allison has a plan for her life, but with the appearance of her father that all changed.

I enjoyed reading these imagined worlds that Laura has so written beautifully. And...the characters were so "life-like" with the right amount of descriptive words that left some to my imagination. The story flowed from beginning to end with introducing me to Allison's life and family to the world of Tuatha de Danaan! Two separate and different worlds, but with Laura's writing, these worlds were distinct and unique in its own way that there was no mistake on where these characters were while reading. I even fell in love with the characters with their individual personalities and quirkiness as they interacted with each other; then there are the faeries with their unique personalities and mannerisms.

To my surprise there is that spark of intrigue or mystery in the story with some surprising twists. All this started when Allison's long-lost father shows up! From that moment on, nothing seems as it appears...the same can be said about the faeries as well. Oh, of course, the "kicker of it all" is that The Forgotten Ones ends with a freakin' cliffhanger! Really!!! Just when you think everything will be okay, Laura throws in a twist and ends the book.

I am already set to read Book 2, Stone of Destiny, and good thing I have it! One of my reader pet peeves....finishing a book and not being able to read the next book in the series because it hasn't been released yet...haha!! Luckily, I have Stone of Destiny! No waiting for me!! I can find out what happens next! But, then again, that's what I love about reading...the story starts with a nice even flow, then builds up to an exciting mystery with plot twists. During all these twists, the story is also filled with emotional situations that could, possibly, make you teary eyed. I know I got teary eyed in various parts of the book.
