Whether or not she wants me, I will fight for Carrie and our daughter, and I will keep them safe—no matter the cost.

*Excerpt*

He stood, his hand on my butt. He gripped me tight, his fingers digging into the soft flesh there. “Excuse me? Are you talking back?”

“N-No.” I licked my parched lips. “I just—”

He caressed my butt, his fingers gliding over the side and across my thigh. When he closed his hand over my core from behind, his fingers dipping inside me just enough to drive me crazy, I collapsed against his chest. “From now on, the only words allowed out of your mouth are more, yes, please, and sir. Got it?”

I nodded frantically, silently willing his fingers to move over me. To bring me to the edge again. “Yes, sir.”

He withdrew, making me want to scream obscenities, but I bit down on my tongue to stay silent. Unless I wanted to beg him, I needed to stay silent. And just like he wanted me to beg him...I wanted him to earn my begging.

When I heard his belt come out of the loops of his pants, I sucked in a deep breath. I wanted to ask him what he was doing, but I didn’t. I kept silent, because he’d told me to. A moment later, he tugged my pants off the rest of the way, and then he grabbed the hem of my shirt. “Arms up.”

Without a word, I lifted my arms, and he pulled the shirt over my head.

He hissed in a breath through his teeth. “You were planning on teasing me later, weren’t you? Wearing nothing under your clothes...”

“Yes, sir.”

I could say more, like how I’d gotten the idea from him when he’d left his boxers on the floor, but that took more words than I’d been permitted to say. And I was trying to be a good girl so I could be rewarded.

He chuckled and ran his belt down my back. “Such a tease.”

Today, on this third week, it is all about our favorite leading man, Finn!

Finn Coram

As one reviewer put it, “Oh, Finn, Finn, Finn, Finn-ey, Finn, Finn.”

There’s just something about Finn from the OUT OF LINE series that makes female hearts go aflutter. Maybe it’s the fact that he was/is a Marine. Maybe it’s the Harley he rides. Maybe it’s the surfing. Or the fact that he can kick ass without even breaking a sweat.

I’m not sure what it is, but there’s just something that makes him irresistible to readers and myself alike. When I wrote their third book (which was planned to be the last) it was so bittersweet. Being in Finn’s head was just so much FUN. He’s protective, but daring. Sweet, but dominant. Hot, but sensitive.

When I thought we were done forever, I was sad, but okay with it. After the readers had finished, I got countless emails begging me to continue the story. I didn’t think it was possible, but then…it hit me. I could write Finn as an adult! And so FRACTURED LINES came into existence.

One of the most fun parts about writing him in four books is the progression of his dirty talk. I thought it would be fun to highlight one line from each book, to show you what I mean! So here goes!

OUT OF LINE

“Have you kissed Cory again?”

“W-What?” I asked, caught off guard.

“Since you kissed me, have you kissed him?” he asked, his jaw ticking.

I shook my head. “No. Of course not. Just the once.”

“Good.” He lifted my shirt a little bit more, his fingers brushing my bare skin, never dropping my gaze. “You’re mine now. Don’t forget it.”

OUT OF TIME

His gaze latched on my hand. “Take off everything but the heels and the...” he said, his voice gruff. He gestured to my thigh-highs, “...the tights or whatever they’re called.”

“Finn.”

“You have no idea how beautiful you look right now,” he said, his voice so low I barely heard him. I wanted to press my thighs together to ease the empty ache I was feeling without him inside of me, but I couldn’t. Not with him in between them. “I bet you want me to taste you again. Don’t you?”

OUT OF MIND

“Tell. Me.”

“Finn.” I grabbed his hand and pressed it back where I wanted it. No, where I needed it. He couldn’t stop now. Not when I was so close. “Please.”

“Tell me the truth, and then I will.”

“Y-Yes. I did it, okay?” I moaned when he rubbed me again, but too lightly. Not enough. Not nearly enough. I knew I was being too loud, but even knowing it didn’t make me stop. “Finn, please.”

“You touched yourself and imagined it was me?” He nibbled on my neck and thrust a finger inside me again. Thank freaking God. “Was it my lips or my fingers when you did it?”

FRACTURED LINES

“Excuse me? Are you talking back?”

Today, on this second week, I have the awesome pleasure of sharing an excerpt from this upcoming book!

*Excerpt*

I lowered my face even more. “I need you so damn bad. Let me kiss you. Let me make it better. I know how to make it all better.”

I brushed my lips across hers gently, testing her reaction. She kissed me back. So soft I barely felt it, and yet I somehow felt it down to my soul.

With a small groan, I closed my mouth over hers, crushing her against my chest and holding her so tightly I might have broken a rib. Man, I’d been waiting for this moment. For her to stop shutting me out. For her to want me as much as I needed her.

And now it was happening.

I slanted my mouth over hers, taking full control of the kiss. Backing her up against the wall, my tongue glided inside her mouth at the same time I slipped my leg in between hers. She gasped and opened her mouth wider, granting me full access.

Without hesitation, I took it, and then I took some more. Like the greedy asshole I really was. Part of me knew I should stop kissing her until I was better, but the other part of me wanted her too damn badly to give a shit about anything else. When I closed my hands around her hips, my fingers digging into the soft sides of her ass, she broke off the kiss and took a shaky breath.

I latched onto her neck, biting with just enough pressure to sting. It had been too long since I’d had her. Too long since I’d held her. Too long for everything. My injured leg protested against the weight I put on it, but I ignored the cry of protest it gave. Any pain I had to suffer was worth it, as long as Carrie was in my arms again, making those small sounds that drove me fucking insane.
