About the Show
Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El, Superman's (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities, and be the hero she was always meant to be.
Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents' help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret.
Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant. She works alongside her friend and IT technician Winn Schott and famous photgrapher James Olsen, who Grant just hired away from the Daily Planet to serve as her new art director. However, Kara's days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw, head of a super-secret ageny where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.

*My Thoughts*
Winter break is over! Supergirl is back on...yay! We come back with Supergirl and Non in a confrontation. Hmmm...what does Maxwell Lord have to hide!?! He's made it very clear of his distrust and hate for government organizations. But, he is definitely hiding something. He also does not hide his contempt towards Supergirl. On the CatCo front, Cat still suspects that Kara and Supergirl is one and the same....somewhat ironic since it is the truth...LOL! But then again, it does defeat the purpose of having a secret identity.,,haha!
Apparently, this is an episode of secrets and truths...no matter how difficult it is to face...secrets and truths are what gets these characters through this current crises that they face.
In the end, these revelations of secrets and truths are what was needed to resolve these crises. Both sides got what they want, Cat's suspicions have been "washed away," Supergirl learns the truth about Hank Henshaw, and Maxwell Lord's secret is revealed. But...what is Mr. Lord up to?!?
Guess we will have to keep watching to get to the truth of it all! What is General Astra up to. What is Maxwell Lord up to. Will we learn more about J'onn J'onzz? Can't wait to find out...
~~~
Of course, we can't forget!! A huge CONGRATULATIONS...and YAY...to the cast and crew for winning the People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama!
