Summary from Goodreads:
Quirky and clumsy twenty-two-year-old Paige Crawford arrives in London on a cold Saturday in January. Just when Paige starts to think that moving thousands of miles away from home with no real plan was a bad idea, Jason Frost appears. Confident and classy, Jason is the complete opposite of Paige and just what she needs in her life, or so she thinks.
But before their romance has time to blossom, Paige trips and falls into the arms of a mysterious man on a drunken night out. She’s snapped by paparazzi, and newspaper headlines the next day suggest that she’s having an affair with a married footballer.
Paige finds herself instantly elevated to tabloid celebrity status which isn’t exactly a picnic, particularly when trying to juggle her new job at Fashionista magazine, a catalog of dating disasters and a nagging doubt that she maybe she can’t conquer London after all.
When a trip back to Canada for Christmas reminds Paige why she left her old life behind, she returns to London with renewed vigor realizing that while jobs, flats and men may come and go, friends in London are forever.

*My Thoughts*
Note: This review contains no spoilers
Well...hmmm.
Just like what is stated in the synopsis, Paige Crawford is a quirky and clumsy young woman trying to make a life out for herself in another country, namely London. From Canada to the United Kingdom, she lands in a new city not knowing anyone or even having a real job in place. Making fun of the fashion, paparazzi-filled, and life in the limelight scene, Paige "accidentally" gets herself mixed up in it. The author takes readers on Paige's funny and embarrassing adventures and mishaps in London while she tries to figure out what she really wants to do with her life. With the constant and over-the-top night life of champaign, hors d'oeuvres and night clubs and parties, Paige does end up making several friendships and making a new life for herself.
This was by no means a deep and thought-provoking read.
For a funny, entertaining, and light-hearted read, The Accidental Socialite is a book to be read. It has it's hilarious moments, even those moments that made me say, "C'mon!" and "really!?!" Nope...it's definitely not a "serious" read. But, I would have to say that for the character, Paige, it was a life journey for her, as she navigated through the social scene in London, in figuring out what she wants to do with her life and developing friendships along the way. This was in no way a "romance" per se....haha! However, Paige's London adventures, at times, lacked good decision making, in which she figures out eventually.
All in all, The Accidental Socialite is a funny, embarrassing, and entertaining coming-of-age read that once can relate to, not including all the embarrassing and ridiculously hilarious and farfetched night life, in regards to just figuring out what one wants to do in life.
