Aubrey Evans is living every author's dream; her sizzling romance novel is being turned into a blockbuster film. She would be celebrating this momentous event, if she wasn't busy fighting over every tiny production detail with the maddeningly cavalier director, Kole Camden.
When news of their heated rivalry hits the gossip columns, drastic measures must be taken to save their sinking project. In an elaborate PR hoax, she is publicly linked to Greyson Meyers, the swoon-worthy star of her movie. A whirl-wind love affair is staged for the couple to mirror the steamy chapters of her own books.
Can the introverted author resist the charms of Hollywood's sexiest leading man? Or will love find her in the City of Angels?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Adapted for Film. A funny and light read that got me smiling and giggling through each chapter. Stacey Rourke created funny and witty characters that brought this romantic comedy to life. Each character had very distinct personalities that created an ensemble of humorous scenes that kept me turning the pages. But, of course, this story is not all about the laughs. The developing romance between characters had me sighing with a smile and earned some laughs, especially considering their witty and funny angst and banter.
Stacey Rourke had me cracking up with Kole and Aubrey's angst and banter on and off the movie set. I loved the sense of humor that Stacey created with each of her characters. I was definitely laughing after each turn of the page. I also loved how Stacey created that sexual tension with her characters without turning it erotic. It was fun to read...hahaha!!
I really loved how Stacey created this funny romance amidst all the current happenings of many books getting film adaptations, especially nowadays, authors are involved in the making of such films.
Adapted for Film is a romantic comedy that will have you falling in love and laughing with the characters. With the funny and witty characters and a seamless storyline, readers will laugh, giggle, and sigh throughout the book. I sure did...hahaha! I think booknerds/fangirls would enjoy this read!
